Since grill cleaning has not been around for a very long, the type of equipment used to clean grills is pretty limited. There has not been a lot of advancement in the terms of equipment since I started in 2012.
If I had to make a broad stroke comment about the grill cleaning industry and the equipment used would be it’s still in the old west. It’s still a shoot-out when it comes to finding the right tools and equipment. There’s not a lot of consistency or standardization in what’s used or how. It really is a free-for-all when it comes to finding something that works.
I’ve seen a tom of pics from cleaners around the country where their results are remarkable but there are scratches all over the grill from what they used to scrub with. I’ve seen pics of grills claiming to be clean and I look at them and think to myself that I would never get away with that type of result.
One of my passions is to bring new advancement to the grill cleaning industry. To develop a standardization of tools, equipment and procedures used to produce consistent and repeatable results. One of the main reasons for putting this site together is my attempt to begin this process. To develop a new core of grill cleaners who are passionate about being a part of a growing industry. To see it grow and have an influence in it’s direction.
Ha! Here I am talking about advancement in grill cleaning and you’re saying “I didn’t even know this industry existed!”
