I’m not trying to gloat or come across like I’m bragging.
But, you see,
I’ve owned a grill cleaning company in the Denver, Colorado area called Prestige BBQ and Oven Cleaning since 2012.
My team and I have literally cleaned thousands of grills over the years.
I’ve had to teach many employees over the years how to clean grills as well as I’ve had the opportunity to help others start their own grill cleaning business.
My team and I, we’ve seen it all and cleaned it all. We’ve seen grills so filthy and disgusting that it would make you nauseous to think someone is feeding their family on that grill. We’ve even struggled to clean grills many times causing me to question if this business is worth it.

I’ve learned that there are are three types of customers.
– Those that would gladly pay for our service because they don’t want to clean their grill themselves.
– Those that want their grill cleaned but don’t want to pay someone like me to come clean it for them.
– Those that appreciate the labor and satisfaction of cleaning their own grill. They want to do it themselves but might not always know how or are physically able to.
This site is for those who want to clean their own grill but might not know how, or don’t want to pay a company like mine to clean it for them.
It Wasn't Always Like This!
Teaching people how to clean their grill was never a part of my future. In fact, up till 2010, I never knew grill cleaning was a thing or there were companies that provided grill cleaning as a service.
Back in the summer of 2010, I took on the challenge of cleaning our backyard grill.
I recall it vividly to this day.
It just so happened that it turned into the hottest day of the year. I was struggling to clean the years of baked-on carbon and grease from the grill.
I scraped.
I scrubbed.
I scraped some more.
I recall sitting on the end of a chaise lounge hunched over scrubbing the grates in a bucket of soap and water.
I was miserable!
After a few trips to the hardware store and roughly 6 hours I called it quits.
I was burned to a crisp, soar and tired.
You know what?
The grill still looked like crap! It barely looked any cleaner than it did when I started.
I wasted an entire day cleaning the grill just to end up with the grill only looking marginally cleaner than it did before I started.
I vowed to never clean the grill again!
Over the past 10 years I have been on a mission to make grill cleaning easier. Not just for myself but for my employees too.
I’m a “Fix what sucks” kind of guy!
I struggled to clean grills in the beginning years of my business. My very first paid job I said out loud to myself “What did you get yourself into?”
I almost gave up my very first day!
I also struggled to keep employees because cleaning grills is, well…
HARD WORK!
No one enjoys doing something all day, every day that frankly sucks to do and feels like a huge grueling chore. After a while you give up to do something easier. I honestly couldn’t blame them for quitting.
To keep my employees around longer, I had to make their job less difficult and less challenging.
I had to come up with a better way to clean gills!
So, over the years, I constantly improved my cleaning process. Bought every chemical I could find that made some sort of promise to make the job easier. I bought tools and equipment. I trained and re-trained. If it sucked, I got rid of it and found a better way.
But, it wasn’t till we accidentally stumbled onto a trick that gave us tremendous results that produced consistent results and was repeatable and easy to duplicate.
Not only did it make cleaning grills easier but it cut our cleaning time in half!
I’m not going to sit here and tell you cleaning your grill won’t be hard. Heck, as I mentioned previously, grill cleaning is hard work.
But!
I can help you remove the struggle by giving you the right tools to use. The right cleaners to use. The right equipment to use so you’re not having to struggle as much as you would if you didn’t know where to start.
